Early Life
Lawrence grew up in Louisville and moved to New York City as a teenager after being scouted, appearing in television before her film breakthrough.
Career
She earned an Oscar nomination for Winter's Bone (2010), then became a star as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games films. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook (2012) and received further nominations for American Hustle and Joy. She also played Mystique in the X-Men films and starred in Don't Look Up (2021).
Legacy
Lawrence founded the production company Excellent Cadaver in 2018, which produced Causeway (2022) and No Hard Feelings (2023).
