Early Life
Born in Beirut to an English mother and a Hawaiian-born father, Reeves grew up in Toronto and began acting in Canadian television and stage productions.
Career
He broke out in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) and starred in Point Break and Speed before playing Neo in The Matrix (1999) and its sequels. He later had a career resurgence with the action series John Wick (2014–2023) and voiced Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4. He also plays bass in the band Dogstar.
Legacy
Reeves has written the comic series BRZRKR (2021) and co-authored the novel The Book of Elsewhere (2024) with the author China Miéville.
