Early Life
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins grew up in London and attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. A demo posted online led to a record deal with XL Recordings in 2006.
Career
Her debut, 19 (2008), earned her the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. 21 (2011), featuring “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You”, became one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, and 25 (2015) included “Hello”. She won an Academy Award for writing “Skyfall” (2012) for the James Bond film. She released 30 in 2021 and later performed a Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
Legacy
Adele has won 16 Grammy Awards, and Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016.
