Early Life
Hamilton began karting at age eight and was signed to McLaren's young driver program at 13.
Career
He debuted for McLaren in 2007 and won his first title in 2008. After moving to Mercedes in 2013 he won six more championships (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020) and set records for Grand Prix wins and pole positions. He joined Ferrari for the 2025 season.
Legacy
Hamilton was knighted in 2021 and has campaigned for greater diversity in motorsport through the Hamilton Commission.
