Early Life
Jackson grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, attended Morehouse College and worked in theater for years before his screen career took off.
Career
He earned an Oscar nomination for Pulp Fiction (1994) and starred in Jackie Brown, Jurassic Park, Unbreakable and Django Unchained. He played the Jedi Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequels and Nick Fury across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with Iron Man (2008).
Legacy
Jackson has appeared in more than a hundred films, making him one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. He received an Honorary Academy Award in 2022.
